Vice President, Communications & Issues Management
John is an award winning senior communications counselor with more than 30 years of experience, including running some of the largest marketing communications agencies in the world. He has worked with clients from a broad range of industries helping them with all forms of marcom challenges, often with a focus on corporate reputation and crisis management.
Throughout his career, John has held leadership positions with Ogilvy Worldwide, Firebrand Financial Group, Burson Marsteller, Fleishman-Hillard, PSE&G and Asprey of London. He has restructured international operations, built a worldwide healthcare network and led community outreach and public affairs for major utility projects.
John has represented high profile clients including Merck, Anheuser-Busch, Mercedes, Unilever and Duracell. He represented the manufacturer of AZT, the first AIDS drug, through a boycott by Gay Rights Activists, negotiating a settlement and then developing a strategy to protect the drug patent.
He has taught crisis management at the Pentagon and counseled the Director of the CIA on reputation management. He holds a BA from Washington & Jefferson College, and a Masters in Media from the New School. John enjoys working out daily and is an avid golfer.
